Our Annual fun day to support the ST.Dunstans Charity please come along and help!!
Iris organises a great day for our visitors, with use of members boats for trips around the bay or harbour and a real treat for injured service personnel that would not otherwise experience sailing or motor boating.
Blind Veterans Day Saturday 6th August !
We are really pleased that this event has returned to the calendar after two years of Covid lock down.
This is one of the most important dates in the GCC Calendar, when we host Blind veterans and their helpers. We take them out for a ride on our boats, and then return them to the club house for a slap up buffet and usually a few beers or so. They love this visit to our club and we love to make it a fantastic day for them.
We will be looking for the following volunteers.
� Skippers and their boats to take the veterans out.
� Crew for the boats
� Crew for the pontoon
� Volunteers to help behind the bar
� Volunteers to help prepare the buffet
